Gia Lai informs about the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term

(Dan Tri) - On October 1, Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee held a press conference to inform about the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ly, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, said that the congress was held for 3 days (October 2-4), with the participation of 450 delegates, of which 60 were ex-officio delegates and 390 were appointed delegates representing 147,054 party members.

The motto of the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030 is: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development".

The Politburo will appoint the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Inspection Committee, the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; and appoint the Provincial Party Delegation to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Congress will announce the Central Committee's decisions on appointing new personnel at the opening session on the morning of October 3.

In particular, the congress does not accept congratulatory flowers from agencies, units, and localities; it only accepts congratulatory flowers from Party and State leaders.

Providing more information at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Chief of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee Office, said that so far, the preparations for the congress have ensured all conditions. The congress will give gifts to delegates in the spirit of thrift, practicality and in accordance with the regulations of the Party and the State.

“The congress gifts include briefcases, pens, notebooks and badges; the selection of suppliers was carried out in accordance with all procedures,” said Mr. Kien.

Concluding the press conference, Mr. Rah Lan Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, said that this congress is an important historical milestone marking the beginning of a new term, demonstrating the aspirations of the entire Party Committee to rise up in the direction of building Gia Lai to become more and more developed.

According to Mr. Chung, entering the new term, Gia Lai sets a target of increasing the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) by 10-10.5% per year, with GRDP per capita reaching 6,300-6,500 USD; by 2030, budget revenue will reach over 41,000 billion VND, welcoming 18.5 million tourists .

The province also identified five growth pillars including processing, manufacturing and renewable energy industries; tourism; high-tech agriculture; logistics services; and urban development.
