In recent years, people in Hoai Duc commune have linked up to grow high-quality rice and sticky rice for export with Cong Thanh Cooperative, initially on a scale of only a few dozen hectares and produced in a closed process from input seeds, care techniques to harvesting and consumption at market prices for export. After consecutive successful seasons thanks to bringing higher profits to farmers than growing normal rice, the area has been expanded every year. Up to now, the area of high-quality rice in Hoai Duc is more than 625 hectares. From the pioneering method of high-quality rice for export, farmers have linked up with Cong Thanh Cooperative to produce over 1,500 hectares stretching from Hoai Duc to Duc Linh commune. People have proactively applied advanced technical solutions and mechanization to help reduce input costs, increase rice productivity, create better quality products, and increase high income for rice producers.
According to the People's Committee of Hoai Duc commune, in the past time, 3 new cooperatives have been established in the commune, bringing the total number of cooperatives in the commune to 5. In addition to establishing new cooperatives to promote the collective economy , the People's Committee of the commune has proactively coordinated with departments, branches and enterprises to transfer and train scientific and technical advances to 8,400 farmers, helping farmers acquire scientific and technical advances and experience in production to apply in economic development. From the success of cooperatives, the commune has built 9 economic models, including 3 crop models and 6 livestock models. The models bring economic efficiency, contributing to increasing income, reducing production costs, especially improving labor productivity, quality and product value. In Hoai Duc commune, cooperatives are not only a place for collective economic activities but also a bridge for farmers to learn experiences in new models such as: growing vegetables, growing tissue culture bananas, growing green-skinned grapefruit, growing black termite mushrooms, raising free-range chickens...
Hoai Duc commune has done quite well in converting crops and livestock, gradually forming specialized crop growing areas such as: rubber tree growing area, annual crop growing area in Dong Lon area, fruit tree growing area, rice growing area. The linkage models in cultivation and product consumption have been focused on building and initially promoting effectiveness such as: Linkage model in mulberry cultivation and consumption, Jackfruit drying model according to VietGAP standards, high quality rice... Agriculture in Hoai Duc commune has had stable development, creating foundation, stimulating trade and service development.
