Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia continues to be Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee

(Dan Tri) - Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, was appointed by the Politburo to continue holding the position of Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On the morning of October 3, the first Congress of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, opened. Former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, former Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc, and many other leaders and former leaders of the Party and State attended the congress.

At the congress, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Quang Duong announced the Politburo 's decision on personnel of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee. Accordingly, the Provincial Party Executive Committee consists of 70 members, the Standing Committee consists of 22 members. Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia continues to hold the position of Provincial Party Secretary.

The Deputy Secretaries include Mr. Tran Quoc Toan (Standing Deputy Secretary), Mr. Tran Quoc Van (Chairman of the Provincial People's Council), Mr. Nguyen Khac Than (Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee), Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung (Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee).

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia affirmed that this Congress is an important political event for the Party, government and people of the whole province. He said that the Congress takes place when the country enters a new stage of development, with the position and strength accumulated after nearly 40 years of renovation.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the Congress not only sets out major policies for the 2025-2030 term but also orients for many subsequent terms. The goal is to build Hung Yen into an industrial, energy, and marine economic center in the North, a rich, civilized, prosperous, and happy province.

According to Mr. Nghia, the establishment of the new Hung Yen province on the basis of streamlining the organizational apparatus and operating the two-level government is a strategic turning point, creating room for development with large scale and potential. This is a strong lever to form a new dynamic and unique dynamic region. He believes that this is a testament to the strategic vision and clear-sightedness of the Central Government, towards a modern, creative and people-serving administration.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia also expressed his deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, who visited Hung Yen 15 times. The Congress respectfully commemorated Uncle Ho's contributions, and at the same time paid tribute to generations of senior leaders, heroic martyrs, cadres, party members and people who have devoted and sacrificed for the revolutionary cause. This is a great source of spiritual encouragement for the Party Committee and people of the province to continue to strive.

The 1st Congress of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee also set out many important tasks. These included summarizing the implementation of the 2020-2025 term resolution, reviewing the leadership of the Executive Committee, drawing lessons and determining goals and solutions for the next 5 years.

The Congress will discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, and at the same time conduct personnel work and elect a delegation of delegates to attend the National Congress.

With the spirit of solidarity, innovation and development, the Hung Yen Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term is expected to open a new path, affirming the role and position of the locality in the Northern Delta region and the whole country.
