Congress of Women's Delegates of Bac Giang Ward: Strongly innovate working methods, pay attention to supporting members

BAC NINH - On October 7, the Women's Union of Bac Giang Ward held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Attending were comrades: Nguyen Phuong Mai, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union; Dang Dinh Hoan, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council and 119 delegates.

The Women's Union of Bac Giang Ward was established on the basis of merging the Women's Unions of 7 wards (Tran Phu, Ngo Quyen, Hoang Van Thu, Tho Xuong, Dinh Ke, Dinh Tri, Xuong Giang) with more than 26,200 members, operating in 98 branches. In the period of 2021-2025, emulation movements, major campaigns, and key tasks were effectively implemented by the Women's Unions at all levels of the ward.

Propaganda work has been innovated in both content and form; activities to support women in economic development and family building have achieved many positive results; activities to represent and protect women's legitimate rights and interests have received attention; attention has been paid to the work of building association organizations.

Thereby, the role and position of the association has been affirmed, attracting a large number of women to participate in association activities, which has been recognized by the Party Committee and the government. 49/49 targets set by the Women's Congress of the 7 old wards have all been achieved and exceeded, contributing positively to the successful implementation of the political , economic and social goals of the ward.

At the Congress, on the basis of frankly recognizing the difficulties and limitations in implementing the work, with the spirit of "Solidarity - Creativity - Integration - Development", for the 2025-2030 term, the Women's Union at all levels and women of Bac Giang ward are determined to successfully implement the goals and tasks, contributing to building a ward with sustainable development in the direction of a green and smart urban area.

In particular, by 2027, the ward strives to have no more women in poor households; by the end of the term, strives for 92% of members to make electronic payments; annually, mobilize and support families to meet the criteria of "5 yes, 3 clean families"; by the end of the term, support 100% of women and girls who are victims of domestic violence and human trafficking who return to be discovered and access at least one social assistance service.

To complete the set goals, the Women's Union at all levels in Bac Giang ward focuses on solutions such as: Supporting women to develop comprehensively, meeting the requirements of the new era, building a prosperous, happy, progressive and civilized family; mobilizing society, implementing gender equality for the development of women; participating in building a clean and strong Party and political system, building a great national unity bloc; developing members and building a strong union organization.

Speaking at the Congress, comrades Nguyen Phuong Mai and Dang Dinh Hoan acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results that the Women's Union at all levels of Bac Giang Ward had achieved in the recent period. To complete the targets for the 2025 - 2030 term, the comrades requested the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of the Ward to not only be dedicated and responsible but also adapt to the pressure of a large workload, and have professional and effective work-solving skills. From there, create high solidarity, unity, initiative and creativity in performing tasks.

Promote and concretize the implementation of the emulation movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era", associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style among female cadres and members; apply digital transformation in organizing association activities and connecting with members and women. Strongly innovate the association's operating methods with the motto of sticking closely to the grassroots, shifting from "spreading support" to "problem-based solutions". Association branches proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations of members and women in a timely manner to strengthen propaganda and mobilize women of all walks of life to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, promote the potential and strengths of women in all fields; pay attention to supporting members in difficult circumstances.

At the Congress, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union announced the decisions to appoint 43 comrades to the Executive Committee, 13 comrades to the Standing Committee, 5 comrades to the Inspection Committee of the Women's Union of Bac Giang Ward for the 2025-2030 term and key positions including: Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy Ninh, President of the Women's Union of the Ward; Comrade Giap Thi Luu, Vice President of the Women's Union of the Ward. At the same time, 7 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate were appointed to attend the 1st Congress of Women's Delegates of Bac Ninh Province, term 2025-2030.
