Ensuring safety for Binh Thuan Street Culture Week 2023

On the afternoon of August 23, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting to listen to relevant units report on the progress and agree on the program of activities for the Binh Thuan Street Culture Week in 2023. Representatives of relevant departments and agencies attended. At this point, the preparation work is basically complete.

"Binh Thuan Street Culture Week 2023" is part of the series of activities of the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence". The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presides over and coordinates with the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province and related units to organize. This is an event in the National Tourism Year, with many events spread over a week such as: Opening Ceremony of Binh Thuan Street Culture Week 2023; Binh Thuan Colors Street Festival; Art exchange activities "Sea, Island - Heart of Vietnam"; Exhibition and introduction of tourism products; Street music... The street festival will be the most anticipated part, when all the Cau Ngu, Nghinh Ong, Ka Te, Dinh Thay Thim festivals will be recreated and paraded for people and tourists to enjoy.

Mr. Bui The Nhan chaired the meeting to listen to the reports of the Subcommittees.

At the meeting, Mr. Bui The Nhan welcomed the spirit of coordination and support of the sectors and localities in the Cultural Week event, which has been basically completed at this point. However, he still hopes that the sub-committees will seriously coordinate closely and smoothly to achieve the highest efficiency. All activities taking place during the Street Cultural Week must have full legal procedures; ensure traffic safety during construction, prevent fire and explosion, and have a traffic diversion plan to prevent trampling. Environmental sanitation must be ensured, with mobile toilets, strict plans to ensure fire prevention and fighting, and medical safety. Review initial emergency plans, food safety and hygiene, and arrange parking lots managed by the State.

Accordingly, the program of the opening ceremony of the island culture week, focusing on Binh Thuan's booth must have its own color and more depth, more unique and magnificent. For the street festival, the Organizing Committee requires to improve the performance quality of each group, ensuring the colorful and fun elements. Strengthen the promotion of local cuisine and products. Booths participating in the fair must ensure that they have product labels and clear origin.
