The Vietnam - China International Trade Fair is held annually alternately between Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China), and is a large-scale economic forum with the participation of domestic and international enterprises.

On the sidelines of the event, many activities to connect, promote investment, trade and tourism were carried out, creating conditions for businesses of the two countries to sign many cooperation contracts.

This year's fair has the theme " Lao Cai and Yunnan - Connection and Development", scheduled to take place at the end of November at Kim Thanh Exhibition Center, Lao Cai ward.

At the meeting, the Organizing Committee approved the progress of preparation work, detailed script, organization plan, fair management regulations and assigned tasks to members.

Up to now, the Department of Finance has completed 10/31 tasks, ensuring the set schedule.

The Department of Industry and Trade is agreeing with the Chinese side on the content of the letter of invitation to the Department of Commerce of Yunnan province to attend the Economic and Trade Cooperation Talks between Lao Cai (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China) provinces in Lao Cai on the occasion of the fair; to contribute opinions on the draft master plan and management regulations; to participate in the talks and trade delegations at the fair in Yunnan and Zhejiang provinces, China.

The Department of Foreign Affairs handles the entry and exit procedures for the delegations. The Department of Construction has assigned tasks to functional departments and passenger transport businesses by taxi and contracted vehicles to serve the travel needs of the people well, ensuring order and traffic safety during the fair...

In the coming time, the Department of Finance will continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue a plan to organize a conference to introduce import-export policies and mechanisms combined with Vietnam-China business trade; organize the second meeting (expected to be completed on September 18-19, 2025); continue to receive registration to participate in booths (until October 31, 2025); agree on the overall plan and layout of the fair; prepare contents related to bidding for decoration items, booth setup, and promotion.

The Department of Industry and Trade shall preside over the development of a plan and implementation of the Economic and Trade Cooperation Talks between Lao Cai (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China) provinces, and report to the Provincial People's Committee for approval before October 15, 2025.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Sinh delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Fair Organizing Committee highly appreciated the preparation spirit of the member sectors; at the same time, requested the members to proactively develop plans and research each field for effective coordination.

The comrade noted that the tasks that must be implemented soon are: stepping up propaganda on the media and verifying and censoring information.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Sinh requested the Department of Finance to absorb all opinions of the members of the Organizing Committee; complete the scenarios soon, and make detailed plans for each task. Regarding the site, it is necessary to change it to be reasonable, balanced, and ensure fire prevention and fighting.

Regarding the plan to repair the Kim Thanh Exhibition Fair Center, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant departments to prepare capital and organize bidding as soon as possible. Other activities such as: talks, inviting provinces to participate in the fair, performing arts, etc. need to be carefully prepared; the quality of goods at the fair must be guaranteed.

Based on the assignment of tasks, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in early October, the support groups will meet to unify the plan.
