Vietnam - China International Trade Fair returns after 2-year hiatus

After a 2-year interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnam - China International Trade Fair was held again with the participation of the business community of Lao Cai and Yunnan provinces (China).

The Vietnam - China International Trade Fair has been held alternately in Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China) since 2001. After a 2-year interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's Fair is scheduled to be held from November 10 to 15, 2023, at the Kim Thanh Exhibition Fair Center, Duyen Hai ward, Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province. According to records on November 7, although it has not yet opened, all 697 booths and 2,000 square meters of vacant land at the Kim Thanh Exhibition Fair Area have been filled. Not only has the number of booths increased, but it has also attracted many localities nationwide and internationally to register to participate in the fair. According to statistics from the Fair Organizing Committee, there have been 46 provinces and cities of Vietnam and Yunnan province as well as areas outside Yunnan; Third countries from Asia (Korea, Laos, Pakistan), Europe (Russia), Africa (Ghana) ... registered to participate. Participating in this fair, businesses bring extremely diverse and rich goods, the quintessence of the countries, including: Agriculture - forestry - seafood, food, medicinal materials; machinery, equipment, raw materials, chemicals, construction materials; electronics, refrigeration, household electrical appliances, household appliances; footwear; consumer goods; wooden household furniture, handicrafts... Along with that, participating in the fair are also exhibition booths promoting investment, trade and tourism, giving priority to products with import - export needs through Lao Cai province's border gates, products contributing to promoting Lao Cai tourism. Emphasizing the importance of the 23rd Vietnam - China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai) in 2023, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee affirmed: "The fair is not only an opportunity to connect trade but also an opportunity to widely promote the image and culture of Lao Cai province".
