Official Physics exam for high school graduation exam 2024

Physics is the first subject in the Natural Science exam on the morning of June 28, which high school graduation exam candidates will take in 50 minutes.

Last year, more than 327,000 candidates took the Physics exam, with the average score being 6.57 points, the median score being 6.75 points; the score with the most candidates being 7.5 points. The number of candidates scoring 1 or less was 23, accounting for 0.007%; the number of candidates scoring below average was 48,379, accounting for 14.79%.

This year, the total number of candidates registered for the high school graduation exam is 1,071,000, an increase of more than 45,000 candidates compared to last year. Of which, the number of independent candidates is 46,978, accounting for 4.38%. The total number of candidates registered for exemption from the Foreign Language exam is 66,927, accounting for 6.25%; the most are candidates from Hanoi with 21,554 candidates; Ho Chi Minh City has 13,076 candidates.

This year, only 37% of candidates chose the Natural Science exam, while the remaining 63% chose the Social Science exam. Compared to last year, the number of candidates choosing the Social Science exam increased and was the highest since 2017.

The 2024 high school graduation exam will be organized basically in the same way as the 2020-2023 period. The Ministry of Education and Training has issued general instructions, and the provinces/cities directly under the central government will preside over all exam organization work in their localities. The exam councils will organize the exam from June 26-29; mark the exam from June 29; announce the exam results at 8:00 a.m. on July 17, and consider recognizing high school graduation on July 19.
