High school graduation exam 2026 expected on June 11 and 12

The 2026 high school graduation exam will be basically stable like the 2025 exam, but will be held about half a month earlier.

Speaking at the conference summarizing the organization of the 2025 high school graduation exam and the plan to organize the 2026 high school graduation exam, Mr. Huynh Van Chuong - Director of the Department of Quality Management of the Ministry of Education and Training - said that the 2026 high school graduation exam will basically remain stable as in 2025. However, there will be some adjustments.

The 2026 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 11 and 12, 2026. Thus, the 2026 graduation exam will be held 15 days earlier than the 2025 exam.

Mr. Chuong said the ministry will include the expected time for the 2026 high school graduation exam in the school year plan so that localities can have appropriate teaching and learning plans and organize the 10th grade exam. In addition, organizing the high school graduation exam earlier will facilitate university admissions.

The 2026 high school graduation exam also has some adjustments in the organization stage. These include adjusting some regulations and exam organization processes to ensure more suitability and convenience for units in the context of restructuring provincial administrative units such as: exam registration files are only kept at high schools.

The exam admission notice and exam card are combined into a single type called "exam admission notice" and are issued by the high school where the candidate submits the exam registration application.

Integrate the temporary graduation certificate and the exam result certificate into the "exam result certificate" and issue it by the high school where the candidate submits the exam registration application.

Reduce the time for receiving appeal applications to announce appeal results sooner, while facilitating the admission work of universities and vocational training institutions...

According to Mr. Chuong, the exam adjustments do not affect the teaching and learning of schools and students.
