Min slope in Langbiang ward - Da Lat (Lam Dong) is 1.5km long, 5.5m wide, connecting the agricultural production area of Pang Tieng village with DT 726 road. In recent days, prolonged heavy rains have caused the soil on both the negative and positive slopes of Min slope to erode and collapse. About 15m from the intersection with DT 726 road, the positive slope of Min slope, nearly 10m high, collapsed below.
According to the people, the Min slope has 2 landslide locations and each location is about 10-20m long. People in Thong Pang Tieng said that the authorities built a water collection ditch on the side of the Min slope but many locations were eroded and damaged, posing a danger to traffic participants.
This road is the only way for people in Pang Tieng village to get in and out of their farming areas. However, both slope The road surface is as bad as soybean paste and the slope is steep. Traveling during the rainy season and at night is very dangerous.
On the morning of September 29, rocks and soil fell from above onto the road, shocking the people. Fortunately, everyone was able to avoid it in time. A large amount of rocks and soil poured down below, covering half the road.
Every day, people here have difficulty going to their gardens because the roads are covered with rocks and soil. Meanwhile, the fear of landslides from the slope above is always present.
Locals said that landslides down Min slope have been dangerous for many days, but authorities have only put up warning signs and have not yet had a plan to remedy the consequences.

The negative slope of Min slope is eroded by water, causing open spaces. Many locations on Min slope have not been built with drainage ditches, so when it rains, water from high positions flows to low areas, causing erosion and landslides on the road surface and negative slope."
Large pieces of earth from above were broken and could fall down at any time, making people very scared.
Mr. Phan Lam, a resident of Pang Tieng village, was shocked when he witnessed the landslide and rocks flowing down to the road below: "On the morning of September 29, when I was driving motorbike "As I was running, rocks and soil from above poured down. At that time, the road surface was buried, I had to call the villagers to bring hoes and shovels to clear the road," said Mr. Lam.
In early February 2024, the Da Dang - Dachomo Hydropower Plant (located in Langbiang Ward - Da Lat) built barbed wire fences; installed iron gates, blocking the passage through the water control valve area, affecting many households in Pang Tieng village. The local government then coordinated with the investor of the Da Dang - Dachomo Hydropower Plant to open the Min slope road at a cost of nearly 2 billion VND for people to enter and exit the production area. However, by this time, the road had been severely damaged.
The road is 1.5km long, 5.5m wide, with a gravel surface according to the standards of a type B rural road. However, the steep slope and rough road surface make it difficult and dangerous for people to travel, especially during prolonged heavy rains and at night.
