Free swimming lessons for children in difficult circumstances

On July 12, the Lam Thao District Red Cross Association organized a free swimming class for 15 children from poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households in Vinh Lai and Ban Nguyen communes.

The swimming class was held at the swimming pool of Mr. Dao Van Thanh's family, Zone 4, Vinh Lai Commune. The total cost of the class was 15 million VND, sponsored by the District Red Cross, swimming teacher Nguyen Tien Thanh and benefactors. The teaching and learning time for swimming was from July 12 until 100% of the children in the class knew how to swim.

Teaching free swimming to children in difficult circumstances is a meaningful activity, contributing positively to preventing drowning for children, especially during the summer vacation. Through the class, the District Red Cross Association hopes to continue to receive support from benefactors to maintain and expand the model in the future.
