Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee provides second round of emergency relief to flood victims

On October 2, the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee continued to deploy the second emergency relief mission for people in the northern and central mountainous provinces heavily affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi) and the storm's circulation.

During this period, the Central Committee of the Association provided cash and goods worth more than 3.42 billion VND (including goods and cash from the campaign "Joining hands to overcome floods" in coordination with the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam) to support people in the provinces of Cao Bang , Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai and Quang Tri. The relief funds include cash, household goods boxes, emergency water purification powder packages and home repair kits.

Specifically: Cao Bang province 150 million VND in cash; Thai Nguyen province 150 million VND in cash and 100 boxes of household goods; Phu Tho province 200 million VND in cash and 200 boxes of household goods; Tuyen Quang province 300 million VND in cash, 400 boxes of household goods, 48,000 packages of P&G water filter powder; Lao Cai province 300 million VND in cash, 200 boxes of household goods, 48,000 packages of P&G water filter powder, 77 home repair kits, 580 tarpaulins); Quang Tri province 200 million VND in cash and 497 home repair kits.

The Central Committee of the Association will be present in Lao Cai and Tuyen Quang provinces on October 4-5 to visit, encourage, and deliver money and support goods to households in especially difficult circumstances that have suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods.

Thus, as of the afternoon of October 2, the total value of direct relief from the Central Association for people affected by storm No. 10 was over 5.5 billion VND.

At the same time, the Vietnam Red Cross Society continues to promote the Campaign "Joining hands to overcome floods" (from September 30 to October 30, 2025) calling for the cooperation and contribution of organizations, businesses and people nationwide to support the disaster area.
