Speed ​​up drug bidding process at grassroots health care

(QNgTV) - After nearly 3 months of operating under the 2-level local government model, 126 commune and ward health stations in Hanoi have stabilized, meeting the health care and disease prevention needs of the people.

However, by the end of September, many common medicines and medicines for treating non-communicable diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes were almost exhausted, affecting the quality of primary health care services as well as people's rights.  

Health stations have been urgently implementing many solutions to avoid interruptions in drug dispensing.

In many units, the form of direct procurement based on the winning bid results of drug suppliers in 2025 has been chosen. The drug and treatment council held a meeting to unify the list and quantity, as a basis for bidding.

The dossier has been uploaded to the system and is expected to be finalized on September 29. If all goes well, the bidding process will be completed and the medicine will soon be available at health stations between October 5 and 10, promptly meeting the treatment needs of patients.

Speeding up the bidding process not only aims to ensure essential medicine sources for people, but also contributes to maintaining the stable operation of the grassroots health system and improving the quality of primary health care.
