English exam for 10th grade entrance exam in Da Nang 'too easy', candidate said 'it was done in 30 minutes'

Most of the candidates at Tran Phu High School said that this year's English exam for grade 10 was quite easy, without many puzzles, mainly covering the core knowledge they had learned.

Candidate Minh Duc (Tran Phu High School) commented that this year's English exam was quite easy. Duc said that the grammar knowledge in the exam revolved around the main points of the second semester. If anyone studied, they would definitely get a 10.

"The easiest part is the reading passage on the topic of "book rental", which only revolves around questions like the student's name, the name of the book, and how long the book is rented for. I found the questions in this section too easy. This year's test is predicted to have a lot of 10s in English," Duc said.

Some candidates, when asked, said they only took 30 minutes to complete the test, even though the English test is 90 minutes.

Also thinking that "the test was too easy", candidate Gia Han (exam site at Phan Chau Trinh High School) shared: "It only took me about 30 minutes to finish. Looking around, most of the other students also finished very early.

This year's English test was extremely easy. But I'm worried because the first two subjects, literature and foreign language, were easy, so I predict the math test will be difficult."

Mr. Mai Tan Linh - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang - said that on the first day of the exam, 101 candidates were absent from the literature exam and 105 candidates were absent from the foreign language exam.

No candidates or invigilators violated the regulations at the examination sites.

Tomorrow morning, candidates will take the math test with 120 minutes.
