BAC NINH - According to a quick report from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bac Ninh, the flood on the rivers is gradually receding. On the Cau River at Dap Cau, the water level is currently above alert level 3 at 0.7m; the Thuong River at Phu Lang Thuong is above alert level 3 at 0.97m. The Luc Nam River at Doi Ngo has dropped below alert level 1.

Tho Ha residential group, Van Ha ward is still deeply flooded, hundreds of households are isolated.

According to local statistics, as of 10:00 a.m. on October 11, the whole province still had 70 villages, neighborhoods, and residential groups in the following communes and wards: Tien Luc, My Thai, Da Mai, Lang Giang, Viet Yen, Van Ha, Hop Thinh, Hiep Hoa, Dong Ky, Yen The, Bo Ha, Kinh Bac, Tam Giang with about 11,750 households still isolated by floodwaters or having to use boats and rafts to access.

The water on the Cau River has receded, but Qua Cam neighborhood, Kinh Bac ward is still deeply flooded, making it difficult for people to travel.

Specifically, Tien Luc commune has 5 villages, 1,600 households; My Thai commune has 10 villages, 2,000 households; Da Mai ward has 5 residential groups, 1,000 households; Lang Giang commune has 1 village, 50 households; Viet Yen ward has 4 residential groups, 1,500 households; Van Ha ward has 3 residential groups, 2,200 households; Hop Thinh commune has 4 villages, 1,000 households; Hiep Hoa commune has 1 village, 50 households; Dong Ky commune has 5 villages, 250 households; Yen The commune has 8 villages, 600 households; Bo Ha commune has 19 villages, 500 households; Kinh Bac ward has 3 residential groups, 500 households; Tam Giang commune has 2 villages, 500 households.

Dong Nhan village, Tam Giang commune has 103 households still isolated.

Currently, floodwaters on river banks are receding. However, they are still at high levels, posing many risks of landslides, slides, and dike overtopping. Along with ensuring essential goods, food, and provisions for people in isolated areas, the Provincial Civil Defense Command requires civil defense commands of riverside communes and wards to continue to patrol and guard, proactively detect and handle incidents of dikes and irrigation works according to regulations.

Focus on directing the urgent repair of damages caused by rain and floods, quickly stabilizing the lives of households whose houses were damaged and who returned to their homes after evacuation; urgently repairing damaged schools to ensure that students are not interrupted; develop plans and measures to direct the preparation of conditions for winter crop development; continue to review and report damage statistics to the Provincial Civil Defense Command. Request the Department of Health to direct and guide flooded localities to organize environmental cleaning as the water recedes, and soon stabilize people's lives and activities.
