Bringing the warmth of kindness to children
It can be said that each case of children in difficult circumstances and special circumstances supported through the Social Work Center and the Hanoi Children's Support Fund contains long, sympathetic and emotional stories.
For example, the story of the family of DDAQ (born in 2019, residing in Tay Phuong commune (old Thach That district), Hanoi). At the age of 6, AQ's world has been associated with long, persistent treatments, since he was suddenly diagnosed with "idiopathic thrombocytopenia" - a disease related to blood clotting disorders, causing the patient to have mucosal bleeding and bruising in many places on the body. His family's situation was already difficult, now it is even more difficult when having to bear the additional burden of treating a serious illness. Understanding this case, the Social Work Center and the Hanoi Children's Support Fund coordinated with Thien Tam Fund ( Vingroup Corporation) to provide emergency support of 20 million VND, helping him and his family to ease some of the difficulties in the treatment journey.
Or the story of two sisters LTQ (22 years old) - LAD (13 years old), Kham Thien street, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ward (Hanoi), who are mentally disabled. Their family had to sell their house in 2016 to pay for their children's medical treatment. For the past 9 years, the whole family has been renting a house, from one place to another, until now they have temporarily settled down in a tube house of only 15m in length and more than 2m in width on Kham Thien street. The inner room is only big enough to put a bed, without partitions. In the outer room, the mother of the two sisters put a sewing machine to both earn a living and conveniently take care of her children. The father of the two sisters drives a motorbike taxi, and when there are no customers, he takes care of his eldest daughter, because if she is not careful, she might get lost...

With the participation of the Social Work Center and the Hanoi Children's Fund, 20 million VND from the Thien Tam Fund was given to this family. More importantly, the Center will continue to pay attention to this case, monitor it, and mobilize social resources to support it.
These are just a few cases, among the thousands of children that the Hanoi Social Work Center and Children's Support Fund have supported since the beginning of the year. Not only providing emergency support, the Hanoi Social Work Center and Children's Support Fund have also mobilized resources and provided regular support funds to children in difficult and special circumstances. Only counting the statistics for the first 6 months of 2025, the Center has supported 4,111 children with a total budget of more than 4.9 billion VND.

Center Director Nguyen Van Trieu expressed: “We are urgently looking for more units to accompany and sponsor the program "Meeting outstanding children of the Capital who overcome difficulties to study well" - an annual activity imbued with the humanistic values of the Capital on this occasion, scheduled to be held at the end of August at the Hanoi Children's Palace. This is an activity to honor and reward the excellent academic achievements of the children, creating a forum for them to exchange and express their dreams and aspirations. Hopefully, there will be more units joining hands with us, adding motivation and confidence to help disadvantaged children firmly step on the path to becoming useful citizens for society."
