Dien Bien promotes exchanges and cooperation with Lao provinces

On October 20, in Dien Bien province, the Vietnam - Laos friendship cooperation activities continued to be promoted with many practical contents. The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dien Bien province worked with the delegation of Muong May district, Phoong Sa Ly province on the implementation of the activities of the Hat Tham Agricultural Technology Transfer Center; at the same time, the Provincial Military Command organized the opening of a professional training course, exchanging experiences in logistics and technical support for military officers of the two provinces of Luong Phra Bang and Phoong Sa Ly.

At the meeting, Mr. Phon Tha Vi Xay Mon Ty, Secretary of Muong May District Party Committee (Phoong Sa Ly province) requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dien Bien province to pay attention to and support the district in the following areas: Sending experts to support Muong May district and Hat Tham Agricultural Technology Transfer Center in terms of expertise, science and technology, and facilities; supporting officials and people of the district to visit Dien Bien province every year to study and learn about agricultural production models and experiences in building new rural areas; considering financial support for repairing and developing the Center...

To make the support work effective, the Department of Agriculture and Environment and Muong May district, Phoong Sa Ly province agreed to continue to closely coordinate in implementing agricultural production cooperation models, especially the macadamia growing model, to ensure economic and technical efficiency and suitability to local climate and soil conditions.

Regularly exchange information and share experiences in all activities to contribute to improving productivity, product quality and expanding production scale. At the same time, coordinate to organize further cooperation activities on technical training, model study tours, agricultural product trade promotion, etc. to strengthen the connection and promote sustainable agricultural production development between the two localities.

Through specific cooperation activities, contributing to consolidating and developing the special traditional friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, for the sustainable development of the border area.

Also on the afternoon of October 20, the Dien Bien Provincial Military Command held the opening ceremony of a professional training course, exchanging experiences in logistics and technical support for the delegation of officers from the Military Commands of the two provinces: Luang Phra Bang and Phoong Sa Ly.

During 15 days (October 18 - November 1), 40 trainees will exchange and share experiences in logistics and technical support, especially the following contents: Production increase, troop nutrition, planning and construction of military medical barracks; management and maintenance of weapons, technical equipment and vehicles; safety assurance in lightning protection and fire prevention; introduction of logistics support work in the Dien Bien Phu campaign; techniques for setting up tanks, hammocks, making warm shelters, techniques for digging and using Hoang Cam level I stoves...

During the training period, the trainees visited and exchanged information about the history of the special traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos; visited and studied practical models at Warehouse K79 of the Logistics and Technical Department; Regiment 82, Division 355...

The training course aims to foster and improve the capacity and qualifications in logistics and technical support for officers and staff of the Military Command of the two provinces of Luang Phra Bang and Phoong Sa Ly; strengthen solidarity and cohesion between military units of the three provinces as well as the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
