Suspension of work and position of Director of Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has just announced that after receiving notice from the Security Investigation Agency ( Ministry of Public Security ) about the prosecution of Mr. Huynh Nguyen Loc, Director of the Institute of Traditional Medicine, the Department has sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee reporting on the leadership personnel situation of the institute.

Pursuant to regulations on disciplinary action against cadres, civil servants and public employees, the Board of Directors of the Department of Health met and agreed to temporarily suspend work and temporarily suspend the position of Mr. Huynh Nguyen Loc.

At the same time, the Department assigned Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Institute of Traditional Medicine, to be in charge of managing activities, performing financial transactions and the duties of the director until there is an official decision from the competent authority.

Currently, the Institute of Traditional Medicine is still operating normally. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health continues to monitor and update new information from the authorities, promptly reporting the situation to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Security temporarily detained Mr. Huynh Nguyen Loc, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine, for his involvement in the case of "Fraudulent appropriation of property". The police searched Mr. Loc's residence at an apartment in a building on Nguyen Van Troi Street (Ward 8, Phu Nhuan District).

Mr. Huynh Nguyen Loc (43 years old, from Ben Tre ) is a doctor specializing in Traditional Medicine, holding the position of Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine from mid-2015 until now.
