Ho Chi Minh City delegation visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers in Bac Ninh province.

On the afternoon of July 20, continuing the program of gratitude to wounded and sick soldiers in the Northern region, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City led by Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy visited and presented gifts at Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center and Lang Giang War Invalids Nursing Center, in Bac Ninh province.

The delegation sent their regards, encouragement and presented gifts to the staff of the center and the wounded and sick soldiers who are being treated and recovering. The gifts have practical value and demonstrate the sentiments and responsibilities of the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City towards those who have contributed to the country.

At Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center, the delegation presented 30 million VND in cash and gifts worth 2 million VND to the center; and 84 gifts to wounded and sick soldiers, each gift worth 2 million VND.

At Lang Giang War Invalids Nursing Center, the delegation presented 30 million VND in cash and gifts worth 2 million VND; and 34 gifts to wounded and sick soldiers, each gift worth 2 million VND.

Speaking at the visit, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, expressed her joy that the centers are now a warm and affectionate home for wounded soldiers and people with meritorious services. July is a month of gratitude, an opportunity for the Party Committees, authorities and people of Ho Chi Minh City as well as the whole country to remember and care for generations with revolutionary contributions.

Representatives of the two nursing centers for war invalids expressed their appreciation for the thoughtful and caring attention of the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City. This is an encouragement for the center staff to strive to fulfill their duties and responsibilities to those who have contributed to the revolution.

Touched by the delegation's greetings, wounded soldier Pham Ngoc Bich, who is being treated at Lang Giang War Invalids Nursing Center, shared: "Being from the North to the South, we feel the warmth and respect from the working group. That gives us more strength to overcome our illness and live more optimistically."

With the tradition of "Repaying gratitude", the working trip of the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City contributed to better care for the material and spiritual life of people with revolutionary contributions.

Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center is currently caring for and treating 84 seriously wounded and sick soldiers from 22 provinces and cities with an injury rate of 81-100%; 90% are paralyzed on one side of the body and have to use wheelchairs; 10% have complex injuries such as amputated limbs, skull defects, etc.

Lang Giang War Invalids Nursing Center is treating and caring for 34 wounded and sick soldiers. Many wounded and sick soldiers are old, have frequent relapses, and have had to be treated at higher levels many times.
