Forever the morality of "Drinking water, remember its source"

July is coming, the whole nation looks forward to War Invalids and Martyrs Day to pay tribute to the noble sacrifices and affirm the responsibility of today's generation towards those who have devoted their youth, blood and bones to the Fatherland.

Recently, in the cozy atmosphere of a house in Tan Lap ward, the gentle eyes of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Toan suddenly shone brightly when welcoming General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense and a group of distinguished guests to visit on the occasion of July 27.

Mother Toan is 93 years old this year, her husband and two children are martyrs. Her hand trembles, tightly holding the General's hand, shining with simple but profound happiness: "I am very happy to see the country at peace , free, and the province is developing more and more". Simple but full of happiness, Mother's words express the satisfaction of a life dedicated to the Fatherland, for the country to grow strongly in independence and freedom.

General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, presented gifts to war invalids and families of people with revolutionary contributions.

Like many children of the Fatherland who carry the wounds of war, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Huy Nghe, Hero of the People's Armed Forces (war invalid, currently living in Ea Na commune) could not hide his emotions. The presence of high-ranking leaders is a deep gratitude, easing the losses and giving more confidence to the war invalids and martyrs' families to overcome difficulties and rise up in life...

Continuing the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", the Provincial Military Command regularly organizes gratitude activities with many practical activities, contributing to enriching the flow of gratitude in the area.

The unit visits and gives gifts on holidays and Tet; builds gratitude houses; takes care of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; organizes the search, collection and burial of martyrs' remains; prepares dossiers to propose recognition of war invalids and martyrs. Every year, the provincial armed forces have presented hundreds of gifts with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND to policy families, war invalids, sick soldiers, and relatives of martyrs in the area. This is not only a political responsibility, but also a deep sentiment and sacred morality of soldiers towards their comrades and compatriots who have devoted and sacrificed for the country.

Colonel Nie Ta, Commander of the Provincial Military Command and Colonel Dinh Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command visited and presented gifts to Colonel Le Hong Son (80% disabled war veteran), former Commander of the Provincial Military Command.

On the occasion of July 27 this year, the provincial military deployed working delegations to visit and present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dang Thi Lich (in Cu Pui commune); visit and burn incense to commemorate Major General Y Blok Eban (in Tan Lap ward); visit and pay tribute to former leaders of the Provincial Military Command through the periods.

The provincial military organized a meeting with wounded soldiers and relatives of martyrs working in the force; directed subordinate units to give gifts and help policy families with working days.

Colonel Dinh Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, affirmed: The merits and sacrifices of the heroic martyrs are the foundation and spiritual support for each officer and soldier of the provincial armed forces to constantly strive to improve, train, contribute, and successfully complete all tasks assigned by the Party, State, and People.
