The Armed Forces of Ukraine failed to break through the Russian defense line near the villages of Veseloe, Medvezhie and Novy Put in the Glushkovsky border district of the Kursk region.

During the offensive near Novy Put, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used German Leopard 2 tanks, Swedish CV90 infantry fighting vehicles and vehicles provided by NATO. With the support of engineering vehicles, the Ukrainian forces overcame the first line of Russian defense, which was the minefields. After the minefields were cleared, armored vehicles and infantry advanced.

However, this attack by the Ukrainian forces was stopped by the Russian Air Force. Under the precise attacks, the Ukrainian army suffered losses in both manpower and equipment.

Near the village of Veseloe, the attack by Ukrainian forces was captured by a Russian reconnaissance drone. Public footage shows a convoy of Ukrainian forces moving along a road under fire from Russian drones and artillery. The incident occurred about 1 km from the border.

Russian forces attacked a Ukrainian military convoy in the Kursk region.

After almost a week of efforts, the Ukrainian army has not been able to gain a foothold on Russian territory and make any further progress. Stopped in the small villages of Navy Put, Veseloe and Medvezhie, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to gather forces under Russian fire to launch attacks on the Krasnooktyabrsky area located in the west.
