Vietnamese football team wins title at ASEAN Police Open 2025

With the strongest squad, CAND Vietnam II quickly overwhelmed their opponents when entering the game. In the 5th minute, Nguyen Nhu Tuan broke through the opponent's net, bringing the opening goal. The game then continued to progress in favor of CAND Vietnam II and before the end of the first half, Tran Duc Nam scored the second goal, widening the gap with Cambodia.

In the second half, CAND Vietnam II maintained their dominance over their opponents and scored 2 more goals, thereby winning 4-0 overall. At the end of the tournament, CAND Vietnam II was the champion, Cambodia was the runner-up. Thailand and Timor Leste received third place.

In addition to the championship, CAND Vietnam II also won the title of Best Player and Top Scorer, both of which belonged to Tran Duc Nam (8 goals).

Immediately after the final match between CAND Vietnam II and Cambodia ended, the closing ceremony of the tournament solemnly took place with the presence of many senior leaders of the Party, Government, ministries , branches and representatives of the teams participating in the tournament.

Attending the closing ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Minister of Public Security ; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Mr. Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In addition, there was the participation of leaders of the Department of Political Work, Ministry of Public Security, Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association and Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

At the ceremony, the organizing committee presented awards to the teams and individuals with outstanding achievements in this year's tournament. The champion team, CAND Vietnam II, received the Championship Cup and a prize worth 30,000 USD. The runner-up, Cambodia, received a prize of 15,000 USD, while the two third-place teams, Thailand and Timor Leste, were awarded 5,000 USD each.
