Provincial Party Secretary works with Gia Vien district

On the afternoon of October 25, comrade Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, worked with Gia Vien district to grasp the implementation of work from the beginning of the 2020-2025 term up to now.

Also attending were comrades: To Van Tu, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee; Tran Song Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province. On the side of Gia Vien district, there were leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan emphasized: Through the meeting, we aim to grasp the situation of the district in terms of characteristics, difficulties and problems to find solutions to overcome and remove them.

Focusing on a number of issues: the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, associated with the organization and orientation of urban space development; building housing for workers in industrial parks; attracting investment for key projects; Party building and political system building.

At the working session, the leaders of Gia Vien district reported to the Provincial Party Secretary on the work results from the beginning of the 2020-2025 term to October 2023.

Accordingly, in the past time, the Party Committee and people of Gia Vien district continued to promote the spirit of solidarity, achieved many important results; achieved and exceeded 5 targets set out in the Resolution of the 22nd District Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

The district's economic structure continues to shift towards increasing the proportion of industry - construction, trade - services and tourism; attracting businesses to invest in the area is highly effective.

Agriculture, forestry and fishery have many positive results; the value of products per hectare of cultivated land in 2023 is estimated at 120.1 million/ha; the average income per capita in the 2020-2023 period is 64 million VND/person/year. The State budget revenue in the area has reached and exceeded the assigned estimate every year.

There has been much progress in culture and society; local defense and military work, and social order and safety have been ensured. The movement to build advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas continues to receive focused direction and achieve high results, and people's lives have been significantly improved.

The work of building the Party and the political system has been focused on. The number of grassroots Party organizations meeting the standard of "Completing tasks well" or higher annually reaches nearly 90%. To date, the whole district has admitted 683 new Party members and established 5 grassroots Party organizations outside the State sector.

Internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and judicial reform are focused on. Administrative reform, digital transformation, e-government building associated with discipline and public service have seen positive changes; the responsibility of leaders of Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and political organizations at all levels has been gradually raised.

At the meeting, the leaders of Gia Vien district also discussed and clarified the contents of the Provincial Party Secretary's instructions.
