The Ministry of Construction's working delegation worked with the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee on the field of transportation.

On the morning of October 3, the delegation of the Ministry of Construction led by Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan had a working session with the People's Committee of Dak Lak province to listen to a report on the implementation of a number of contents related to the transport sector in the province. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai co-chaired the meeting.

Reporting at the meeting, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that Dak Lak's current transportation system includes road, waterway, railway and air.

Of which, the total length of the province's road traffic system is about 7,500 km; the North-South railway through the province is about 95 km long; in terms of aviation, the province has Buon Ma Thuot Airport and Tuy Hoa Airport which are operating effectively; in terms of waterways, the East of the province has a coastline of 189 km.

For key transport projects being implemented in the province such as Component Project 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Construction Project Phase 1 and the Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project, the eastern bypass section of Buon Ma Thuot City, the province has directed investors and related units to speed up site clearance, construction progress and disbursement.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai reported on the current status of traffic infrastructure at the working session.

Regarding the aviation sector, Tuy Hoa Airport, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has submitted to the Ministry of Construction for appraisal and approval of the port planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; regarding the planning of Buon Ma Thuot Airport, the province has organized a second round of consultation and reported to relevant ministries and branches.

In the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030, the province proposed to the Central Government to supplement the target capital of about 45,000 billion VND. In which, priority is given to investing in a number of projects such as: East - West Expressway Project, length 122 km, total investment of 30,800 billion VND, invested under the PPP method (public-private partnership); Project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 29, length 155 km, total estimated investment of about 7,000 billion VND...

The representative of the investor of Component Project 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Construction Project, Phase 1, expressed his opinion at the working session.

Speaking at the conclusion of the working session, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan highly appreciated the efforts of Dak Lak province in speeding up the progress of key projects.

In the coming time, the Deputy Minister requested Dak Lak province to direct project investors and related units to synchronously implement solutions to speed up the progress of site clearance and construction of works and projects. At the same time, strengthen the work of acceptance and settlement of payment for the value of constructed output to promote the disbursement of public investment capital.

For national highways that have been handed over to local management, the province and relevant agencies need to study solutions for good maintenance, ensuring traffic safety and quality of operation.

The Deputy Minister especially noted that National Highway 26 is an important route with very high traffic volume, so the province can study and propose to upgrade it to increase connectivity and traffic capacity.

The Deputy Minister also requested the Vietnam Road Administration to continue to study and support Dak Lak province in procedures related to the construction of rest stops and intelligent transport systems (ITS) for expressway projects passing through the province.
