Dong Nai successfully auctioned the first land lot after 5 years

On October 1, the Dong Nai Province Land Fund Development Center announced that it had successfully auctioned a land lot of nearly 500 square meters in Tam Hiep Ward, Dong Nai Province; the winning bidder paid more than VND 34 billion for the land lot. This is the first land lot that Dong Nai Province has successfully auctioned in 5 years (from 2021 to present).

The above land is intended for urban residential use, located in a prime location, adjacent to a major road. Dong Nai authorities will soon complete the procedures so that the auction winner can soon put the land into use. The successful auction of the land lot is a positive signal, creating the premise for Dong Nai to auction the next land lots.

According to the Dong Nai Land Fund Development Center, it is expected that from now until the end of 2025, Dong Nai will auction more than 40 land plots with an area of over 600 hectares, valued at about 16,500 billion VND according to the land price list; in which, there are many large land plots, located in convenient traffic locations, near Long Thanh airport. Typical examples are land plots with an area of hundreds of hectares in Long Thanh commune, land plots of more than 100 hectares at Chua Chan mountain, Xuan Loc commune and some land plots in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park, Tran Bien ward. Currently, the functional sector is completing legal procedures, cutting rubber trees to quickly put the land plots up for auction.

According to the plan, in the coming days, Dong Nai Land Fund Development Center will auction 2 land plots with an area of over 110 hectares in Long Thanh commune. These are 2 "golden" land plots adjacent to National Highway 51, near Long Thanh airport, attracting the attention of many investors, with a very high probability of successful auction.

During the auction process, Dong Nai authorities will have solutions to promptly detect and strictly handle violations of the law; prevent acts of taking advantage of land use rights auctions to disrupt the real estate market and make illegal profits.

Over the past 5 years, Dong Nai has encountered many difficulties and obstacles in land auctions. There are land plots that have been auctioned many times but have not been successful. The main reason is the sluggish real estate market; many land plots are located in prime locations, attracting investors’ attention but the authorities have not completed the legal procedures to put them up for auction.

To speed up the land auction process, in May 2025, Dong Nai established a special working group to support the auction of land use rights. The working group is responsible for assisting the Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee in auctioning land use rights for important and valuable land plots; reviewing land plots with potential advantages to add to the land auction plan, ensuring the right progress. Providing professional guidance and support to relevant units before, during and after the land plots are successfully auctioned.
