In his opening speech, comrade Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council, emphasized that the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress of Dong Nai province, period 2025-2030 is an important event to evaluate the results of patriotic emulation movements and reward work in the period 2020-2025, and at the same time propose directions, tasks and solutions for the period 2025-2030.
The Congress is also an opportunity to honor advanced models, examples of "good people, good deeds" in various fields, which are beautiful flowers in the patriotic emulation garden of Dong Nai province.
Over the past 5 years, despite facing many difficulties and challenges from natural disasters and epidemics, the emulation movements launched by Dong Nai province have had many positive changes, truly entering life and becoming widespread mass movements.
Specifically, in the movement "The whole province joins hands to build new rural areas", Dong Nai province has achieved impressive results: 67/72 communes meet new rural standards (93.05%), 25/72 communes meet advanced new rural standards (34.72%), 8/72 communes meet model new rural standards (11.11%).
The movement "For the poor - No one left behind" has maintained many models of solidarity and mutual assistance, contributing revolving capital, helping 1,732 poor households with loans totaling VND 5,074 billion.
In the special movement "The whole country unites, joins hands, and competes to prevent, fight and defeat the Covid-19 pandemic", Dong Nai has mobilized large resources with a total value of contributions in cash and kind of more than 1,243 billion VND.
For the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025", support has been given to build and repair 2,005 houses, reaching 114.5% of the set plan.
With the movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure", people have highly agreed and donated land for site clearance, contributing to speeding up the progress of key traffic projects.
The movement "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees compete to practice office culture" has created positive changes. Cadres voluntarily practice the "4 pleases" rules: hello, sorry, thank you, permission, and "4 alwayss": always smile, always be gentle, always listen, always help, demonstrating a professional and friendly administrative service.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, requested that Party committees, agencies, units and localities in the area continue to thoroughly grasp President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on patriotic emulation; effectively implement Directive No. 41-CT/TW dated December 26, 2024 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership over emulation and reward work in the new situation.
Party committees, party organizations, heads of agencies and units need to strengthen direction and organization of emulation movements, ensuring practicality and effectiveness, linking emulation results as one of the important criteria to evaluate the level of task completion of leaders and managers at all levels.
Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh requested each cadre and party member to promote their exemplary pioneering role, truly being the core in emulation movements in localities and units. Through emulation movements, promptly discover, foster and replicate advanced models.
Along with that, it is necessary to mobilize the strength of the entire political system to join hands to effectively carry out emulation and reward work, regularly pay attention to building the core force of leaders, managers and specialists in emulation and reward at all levels in the direction of trust, compactness, strength, effective and efficient operations.
On this occasion, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement over the past 5 years were commended and rewarded.
The Congress Organizing Committee also called on delegates to join hands to support people in the northern provinces in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
