Closing of the 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee

In the closing session, the Congress listened to the presentations of the delegates attending the Congress in the Hall. The Congress approved the report summarizing the delegates' comments on the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress; and approved the report summarizing the delegates' comments on the draft documents of the 1st City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

At the congress, the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term was introduced to the Congress with 16 comrades; introduced the City Party Committee's delegation to the 14th National Party Congress, including 80 official comrades and 9 alternate delegates.

In the closing session, the Congress presented gifts to Party Executive Committee members for the 2020-2025 term who were not re-elected, transferred to other jobs, or retired.

Comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee delivered the closing speech at the Congress.

The Congress announced the voting results of the Congress Resolution targets; Passed the Resolution of the 1st City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Accordingly, some outstanding indicators include: average GRDP growth rate of 10-11%/year. By 2030, GRDP per capita will reach about 14,000-15,000 USD. Total social investment capital will average 35-40% GRDP in 5 years; contribution of total factor productivity (TFP) to GRDP growth will reach 60%; human development index (HDI) will be above 0.8; by 2030, there will be 35.1 hospital beds/10,000 people, 21 doctors/10,000 people and 35 nurses/10,000 people. From 2026, people will have regular health check-ups or free screening at least once a year and will have an electronic health book to manage their health over their life cycle...

In his closing speech at the Congress, comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, affirmed: After nearly 3 days of urgent, serious, united, democratic and responsible work, the Congress completed all the contents of the proposed program, marking a historic turning point in the development process of the city after the merger.

Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, approved the Congress Resolution.

To turn the success of the Congress into concrete revolutionary actions, the Congress assigned the task to the Executive Committee of the City Party Committee, Term I, and its subordinate Party Committees to urgently organize the study and thorough understanding of the Congress's resolution, turning the spirit of the Resolution into a specific action program and plan, closely related to each industry, each field, and each locality.

"Each Party Committee, each cadre and Party member must uphold the spirit of responsibility, pioneering and exemplary behavior so that the Resolution of the Congress can truly come into life," emphasized comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

The Congress calls on all cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, and people of all walks of life in Ho Chi Minh City to promote tradition, maintain the spirit of revolutionary offensive, solidarity, dynamism, creativity, and warm-heartedness; strive to cultivate, train, and preserve revolutionary ethics; uphold the pioneering and exemplary character in action; unite in one heart, join hands, and be of one mind to successfully implement the Resolution of the Congress.

The delegation attending the 14th National Congress of the Party introduced itself to the Congress.

The 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, took place from October 13 to 15 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Congress discussed and contributed to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, discussed the Political Report and the Report on reviewing the leadership and direction responsibilities of the City Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term presented at the Congress.

The congress was honored to welcome comrade To Lam , General Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and other Politburo members to attend and direct the congress.

The Congress was also honored and excited to welcome the leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, along with delegates and distinguished guests with special affection, who also arranged their time to attend the Congress.

The presence of the leaders and distinguished guests brought to the Congress warm feelings, great encouragement, confidence and expectation for the Congress to be a great success, opening up a new development path full of aspirations and responsibilities.
