Meeting her father after 45 years of separation, the woman cried because of her stepmother's reaction.

(Dan Tri) - The first time she met her biological father, Dang Thach Thao could not hold back her tears, hugged him and cried. At that moment, her stepmother's reaction made Thao even more emotional.

"Dad, I thought I would never see you again. Seeing you so healthy, I'm so happy," Ms. Dang Thach Thao (45 years old, living in Hau Giang province) sobbed, speaking through the phone screen.

Before Ms. Thao finished speaking, her father, Mr. Dang Van Da (70 years old, living in An Giang province) both shed tears and smiled happily and contentedly. Looking at the similarities on their faces, along with the matching information, the two were convinced that they were biological father and daughter, even though there were no DNA results (genetic tests) confirming their blood relationship.

The clips recording the reunion of Ms. Thao and her father brought tears to many people, attracting millions of views and interactions on social networks.

Previously, Mr. Da came from Hanoi by ship to the South to work as a canal and ditch dredging worker. During this time, he and Ms. Thach Thi Xuyen met and fell in love. Not long after, Ms. Xuyen became pregnant with their first daughter, but Mr. Da suddenly transferred to another job.

Mr. Da asked Mrs. Xuyen to move to the North to live with him. However, Mrs. Xuyen did not agree. Since then, the two did not see each other again, but Mrs. Xuyen never told anyone the real reason.

After Trang was born, Mrs. Xuyen wrote to Mr. Da several times, telling him about their first child. However, father and daughter never had the chance to see each other.

After a while, when Trang was 8 years old, a stranger claiming to be Mr. Da's friend came to inform him that he was very ill and wanted to see his daughter one last time.

"At that time, I was still young, my mother was working far away, my grandmother did not dare let me go with that stranger. When I grew up, I thought about how my father was so seriously ill, the chance of him surviving was very low," said Trang.

Two months ago, she asked a Youtube channel specializing in finding lost relatives to spread the information and ask for help from the online community. Unexpectedly, in just a short time, a man claiming to be Mr. Da's nephew contacted and recognized his relative.

"The day before I met my father, I couldn't sleep. I heard that he had a new family, two children and grandchildren. Does he still need me? These questions made me worried. But I just kept in mind that as long as my father was healthy, I didn't need to worry about anything else," Trang confided.

During their first reunion over the phone, the 45-year-old woman asked the 70-year-old man about his and his ex-wife’s names. When Mr. Da correctly read his mother’s name, Ms. Trang burst into tears. Mr. Da also could not hold back his tears when he saw his son for the first time.

"I'm so happy, son. I went looking for you, but people said you were sick and had passed away, so I stopped looking for you," Mr. Da said.

Two days later, Trang arranged to meet Mr. Da. As soon as she got out of the car, she could not contain her emotions. Mr. Da's son, Hai, took Trang's hand and led her into the house.
