Coffee price today October 21, 2025: World coffee price increased sharply

According to a report from the Vietnam Commodity Exchange (MXV), last week coffee prices continued to be the focus of the global raw material market. On the international market, Arabica coffee prices increased by more than 6.5% to 8,762 USD/ton, while Robusta coffee prices also increased by 1.6%, trading around 4,552 USD/ton.

This is the third consecutive week of increase in the coffee market, reflecting strong consumption demand and strong investment capital flows from both domestic and international. Many experts believe that the recovery of coffee prices is still maintained thanks to the reduction of global inventories and concerns about supply from major producing countries.

Despite the uptrend, coffee prices may face downward pressure as the harvest season begins in Central America and Vietnam. In the next 3-5 months, supplies are expected to be more abundant before the new crop in Brazil in 2026-2027.

Thanks to rising world coffee prices, the Vietnamese coffee industry is recording impressive results. According to data from the Vietnam Customs Department, in September 2025, Vietnam exported 81,000 tons of coffee, worth 462 million USD, up more than 60% over the same period last year.

By the end of September, coffee exports reached nearly 1.24 million tons, worth 7.01 billion USD, up 12% in volume and 62% in value over the same period in 2024. This is a record high, far exceeding the total turnover of 5.62 billion USD for the whole year of 2024. With this growth momentum, the Vietnamese coffee industry is expected to reach the 8 billion USD export mark in 2025, setting a new milestone in its development history.

The average export price of coffee in September 2025 reached 5,700 USD/ton, up 4.2% compared to August and 2% compared to the same period in 2024. In the first 9 months of the year, the average price reached 5,655 USD/ton, 45.2% higher than the previous year.
