In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged from yesterday at VND116,500/kg.
Domestic coffee prices are expected to remain stable in the coming days, at around VND117,000/kg. Both sellers and buyers are cautious. Traders are limiting their purchases due to concerns about fluctuations in the international market, while farmers tend to stock up in anticipation of better prices.
According to expert Nguyen Quang Binh, the market is influenced by many opposing factors:
Supportive factors include lower US interest rates attracting investment flows, unresolved reciprocal tariffs putting pressure on supply chains, and low inventories in key markets.
Pressure points include forecasts of bumper harvests in Vietnam and Brazil, the risk of a sell-off if the floor price falls sharply, and the possibility of further delays to the EUDR legislation.
Brazil is expected to see a decline in exports in 2025, but that is still a significant number. Adverse weather conditions in key growing regions and rising production costs continue to weigh on global supplies, making coffee a volatile commodity.
