Rubber price today April 9, 2025: Rubber prices continued to fall sharply, reflecting weakening global demand after President Donald Trump implemented a series of large-scale tariffs.

World rubber price

On April 9, world rubber prices recorded a sharp decline due to concerns that consumption demand would be heavily affected by the new US tariff policy. In particular, rubber prices in Japan hit a 13-month low, while in China they fell to a 10-month low. Domestically, rubber latex purchase prices continued to move sideways, fluctuating around 440-452 VND/TSC.

In the Japanese market, RSS3 rubber prices on the Tokyo Exchange for contracts from April to August 2025 are hovering around 341-344 yen/kg. This is the lowest level in more than a year, reflecting investors' pessimism about the prospect of declining consumption.

In China, natural rubber prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange also recorded a downward trend, with contracts for April to August 2025 fluctuating between 16,640 and 16,815 yuan per kg. The current price is recorded as the lowest in 10 months.

Meanwhile, in Singapore, the price of TSR20 rubber on the SGX exchange recorded a slight increase in futures contracts from May to September 2025, ranging from 167.20 to 168.80 cents/kg. This is considered a rare bright spot in the context of the global rubber market under a lot of pressure.

Domestic rubber prices

In Vietnam, major rubber companies still maintain stable purchasing prices. Ba Ria Rubber Company applies a purchasing price of 442 to 452 VND/TSC/kg for latex, depending on the TSC level. Cup latex and coagulated latex with high DRC level are purchased at prices ranging from 13,500 to 18,000 VND/kg.

Binh Long Rubber Company purchases latex at around 386 - 396 VND/TSC/kg, mixed latex with 60% DRC is purchased at 14,000 VND/kg.

At Mang Yang Rubber, latex grade 1 and 2 were purchased at 433 and 429 VND/TSC/kg respectively. Phu Rieng Rubber maintained latex price at 440 VND/TSC/kg and mixed latex at 400 VND/DRC/kg. Mixed latex grade 1 and 2 fluctuated from 382 to 436 VND/DRC/kg.

Although domestic prices remain stable, the rubber market is under pressure from tax policies and negative global sentiment, which may affect price trends in the coming time.
