On the morning of October 2, the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work. Mr. Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, attended and presented the Politburo's decision to transfer, assign, and appoint Mr. Ho Van Nien to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee.

At the conference, Mr. Hoang Dang Quang, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

The Politburo decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Ho Van Nien, Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of Quang Ngai province for the 2025-2030 term; and to join the Party Committee of Military Region 5.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Minh Hung said that Mr. Nien grew up from the grassroots, the Politburo believes that with his capacity and strengths, Mr. Nien will excellently complete the assigned tasks, bringing Quang Ngai to further development in the coming time.

Mr. Ho Van Nien (born October 15, 1975, hometown Gia Lai province), Mr. Nien is a Ba Na ethnic. Bachelor of Law, senior political theory.

Before becoming Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nien had worked and held the following positions: From October 2010 to May 2013: Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Dak Po District Party Committee (former Gia Lai province); from May 2013 to October 2015: Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee.

From October 2015 to June 2020, Mr. Nien held the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the former Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2015-2020; from June 1, 2020, Mr. Nien held the position of Secretary of the former Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2015-2020.

On September 28, 2020, Mr. Nien was re-elected as Secretary of the former Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

From July 1, 2025, the Prime Minister assigned and appointed Mr. Ho Van Nien to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions .

Up to now, Mr. Nien has been assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee to replace Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, who was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee.
