SJC gold bar and gold ring prices continue to skyrocket

(NLDO) – The price of SJC gold bars and gold rings has not stopped increasing in the context of strong increase in world prices.

At noon on February 19, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by SJC, PNJ, DOJI companies at 89.3 million VND/tael for buying and 91.6 million VND/tael for selling - an increase of 500,000 VND compared to the end of yesterday. This is the third consecutive day that the price of gold bars has increased, totaling about 1.3 million VND/tael.

Banks also simultaneously listed gold bar selling prices with a sharp increase compared to the previous day.

Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold also increased strongly when listed businesses bought at 89.3 million VND/tael, sold at 91.4 million VND/tael - an increase of 500,000 VND compared to the morning. The price of gold rings also increased for the third consecutive day.

Domestic gold prices continue to soar

Businesses also unexpectedly narrowed the difference between buying and selling prices to about 2.1 million VND/tael, instead of the high level of about 3.5 million VND/tael in previous days.

Domestic gold prices increased sharply in the context of soaring world gold prices. At about 10:30 this morning, Vietnam time, the precious metal on the international market was trading at 2,928 USD/ounce, an increase of about 20 USD/ounce compared to the previous session.

Gold prices increased sharply today as many central banks, financial institutions, and investors increased their demand for safe haven capital. Gold is a "shining" investment channel not only for individual investors but also for international organizations, including central banks of countries.

Not only gold, the USD also maintained a strong upward momentum when the USD index on the international market was traded at 106.9 points, increasing for the second consecutive session.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 90.7 million VND/tael, lower than the price of SJC gold rings and gold bars by about 700,000 VND to 900,000 VND/tael. This continues to be a record low difference between domestic and world gold prices.
