On the morning of September 30, oil prices continued to decline. At the close of trading at dawn today (Vietnam time), Brent oil prices decreased by 2.48 USD, equivalent to 3.54%, to 67.65 USD/barrel; WTI oil prices decreased by 2.27 USD, equivalent to 3.45%, to 63.45 USD/barrel.
Thus, in September, world oil prices decreased by nearly 4% compared to August. The figures show that global supply is abundant.
According to analysts, the world crude oil market reacted to the news that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) is expected to increase oil production again in November. Along with that, Iraq will also resume oil exports from the Kurdistan region of the country to Türkiye. The restoration of this activity is expected to bring about 230,000 barrels/day back to the international market.

According to Reuters, OPEC+ is likely to approve a plan to increase production by at least 137,000 barrels per day in November to increase the group's influence on the market and consolidate its market share. So far, OPEC+ is still promoting a strategy that prioritizes maintaining market share over price. However, the group has not yet exploited enough oil production according to its target.
Given the above developments, analysts still warn that the risk of oversupply is present.
Domestically, due to the world oil price increasing by more than 4% last week, the estimated indexes as of this morning show that this week, gasoline and oil prices at the price adjustment session on Thursday afternoon (October 2) may increase slightly. However, this forecast may change because before the price adjustment period, there are 2 more trading sessions.
On the morning of September 30, the retail prices of gasoline and oil on the market, as announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, were as follows: E5 RON92-II gasoline at VND19,618/liter; RON95-III gasoline at VND20,165/liter; diesel at VND18,658/liter, kerosene at VND18,628/liter; and fuel oil at VND15,209/kg./.
