According to plan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance adjusted retail gasoline prices periodically this afternoon (September 11).
In particular, the regulatory agency decided to reduce the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline by 100 VND/liter and RON 95 gasoline by 30 VND/liter. After adjustment, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline is 19,750 VND/liter and RON 95 gasoline is 20,400 VND/liter.
Thus, domestic gasoline prices have reversed after 3 consecutive increases. Since the beginning of the year, RON 95 gasoline has increased a total of 21 times and decreased 17 times.
Meanwhile, diesel prices were adjusted up by VND170 per liter to VND18,360 per liter. So far, oil prices have increased 19 times and decreased 18 times.
Previously, leaders of some petroleum companies predicted that the price of petroleum could decrease again in today's operating period. Currently, the discount of petroleum at many warehouses is fluctuating around 1,000-1,200 VND/liter.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade is currently seeking comments on the draft Circular regulating the roadmap for applying the blending ratio of biofuels with traditional fuels in Vietnam.
According to the proposal, in phase 1 (from January 1, 2026 to the end of 2030), all gasoline sold on the market will be E10 gasoline. In phase 2 (from 2031), all gasoline in circulation will switch to E15 or other biofuels decided by the Minister of Industry and Trade.
