Teachers wade through mud to clean up school after flood, ready to welcome students back to class
TPO - After storm 10 passed, floods flooded many schools in Ha Tinh, causing deep inundation and isolation. Now, as the water recedes, schools are focusing on cleaning up to welcome students back to class.

Due to the impact of storm No. 10, many areas in Ha Tinh were deeply flooded, such as Kim Hoa, Duc Quang, Duc Minh communes, some villages and wards of Bac Hong Linh and Nghi Xuan communes. Due to the deep floodwaters and slow receding, many schools in Ha Tinh have not been able to welcome students back to school. Kim Hoa Kindergarten and Kim Hoa Primary School (Kim Hoa Commune, Ha Tinh) are low-lying schools that often suffer severe consequences of floods. After the water receded, the Huong Son Fire Fighting and Rescue Team (under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ha Tinh Province) together with Kim Hoa Commune Police, and all teachers of the school overcame the consequences to welcome students back to class. At Kim Hoa Kindergarten (Kim Hoa commune), repair work is also being urgently deployed to prepare for welcoming children back to school after a long time off due to floods. At Lien Minh Primary School (Duc Minh Commune), the scene was chaotic after the storm and flood. On October 4, the militia, youth union members, and police of Duc Minh Commune coordinated with teachers to continue cleaning and sanitizing the school.
It is known that according to statistics, 16 schools in the area were flooded and have not welcomed students back to school. It is expected that schools will return to normal early next week. With the motto "clean up as soon as the water recedes", schools in flooded areas are urgently cleaning up to welcome students back to school soon. Duc Minh commune has 7 flooded schools, including: 3 kindergartens, 3 primary schools and 1 secondary school. Currently, the authorities are working together to clean the campus, wipe down tables and chairs, classrooms...
In order to share the difficulties and support the locality to stabilize the situation after the natural disaster, officers and soldiers of the Mobile Police Department, Ha Tinh Provincial Police came to help Xuan Hong Kindergarten, Nghi Xuan Commune, overcome the consequences caused by the flood. The officers and soldiers actively participated in cleaning up mud, cleaning the campus, wiping and rearranging equipment and school supplies to ensure a safe and clean environment before welcoming students back to school.
Youth forces, police, and militia joined together to help repair and clean up at schools in the hope of welcoming students back to school soon after the storm.
Floodwaters recede, National Highway 1A through Ha Tinh reopens
Ha Tinh Youth mobilized more than 3 billion VND to share and support people after the storm.
More than 2,000 households in Ha Tinh were isolated by flood for 3 days.
Ha Tinh proposed the Central Government to support more than 2,700 billion VND to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.
