Contribute to promoting Vietnam - Mozambique cooperation to become more substantial and effective

Authorized by the President of Mozambique, Minister of Interior Paulo Chachine will lead a high-ranking delegation of Mozambique and represent the Government of Mozambique to sign the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (Hanoi Convention) and carry out many other bilateral activities during his visit to Vietnam.

That is the information shared by Mozambique's Minister of Interior Paulo Chachine at a working session with Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Tran Thi Thu Thin on October 20.

At the meeting, Minister Paulo Chachine sent congratulations to the Government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and its outstanding achievements in economic and social development and international integration.

Informing Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin about the main features of the security and order situation in Mozambique in recent times, Minister Paulo Chachine emphasized the efforts of the Administration of President Daniel Chapo in promoting comprehensive dialogue with all components and forces in society to promote democracy and national harmony as well as the positive results that Mozambique has achieved in suppressing and repelling organized crimes such as kidnapping, human trafficking, drug trafficking, etc.

Minister Paulo Chachine respectfully thanked Vietnam for inviting Mozambique to attend the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime ( Hanoi Convention), and highly appreciated Vietnam's commitment and contribution in promoting international efforts in preventing and combating cybercrime as well as other global issues.

Authorized by President Daniel Chapo, Minister Paulo Chachine will lead a high-ranking delegation of Mozambique to attend the signing ceremony, represent the Government of Mozambique to sign the Convention in Hanoi and carry out many other bilateral activities during his visit to Vietnam.

Expressing his delight at the positive results of cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Mozambique Ministry of Interior, Minister Paulo Chachine affirmed that Vietnam is one of Mozambique's strategic partners and Mozambique is ready to coordinate with Vietnamese authorities in crime prevention and control, ensuring security and social order.

Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin congratulated the positive results that the Government of Mozambique has achieved in recent times, creating a stable and favorable environment to attract investment and accelerate economic development.

Thanking Mozambique for sending a high-level delegation to attend the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin said that this is an opportunity for Mozambique to affirm its international commitment in this field. The Ambassador also informed the Minister about the content, importance and preparations of Vietnam for the signing ceremony.

Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin believes that the upcoming visit of Minister Paulo Chachine to Vietnam to attend the signing ceremony of the Hanoi Convention and carry out bilateral activities on the sidelines will contribute to strengthening Vietnam - Mozambique cooperation in an increasingly practical and effective manner.

The Ambassador also proposed a number of specific measures to effectively implement the commitments of the two countries' leaders as well as existing Agreements and Agreements in the fields of law enforcement, crime prevention, increased information exchange, human resource training, etc.

On this occasion, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin respectfully requested Minister Paulo Chachine and the Ministry of Interior of Mozambique to continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the Embassy to effectively carry out citizen protection work, protect the rights and legitimate interests of Vietnamese citizens and legal entities in Mozambique.
