Deposit savings at SCB in early 2024 to receive the highest interest rate of 4.8%/year

At Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SCB), individual customers who deposit savings with interest at the end of the term (in VND) for a term of 1-2 months will receive an interest rate of 1.90%/year. For a term of 3-5 months, it is 2.20%/year.

For terms of 6 - 11 months, customers will receive an interest rate of 3.20%/year. The highest savings interest rate at SCB for terms of 12 - 36 months is 4.80%/year.

Customers with non-term deposits will receive monthly interest at 0.10%/year.

In case customers choose other forms of interest payment, they will receive specific SCB bank interest rates as follows:

- Annual interest: Interest rate ranges from 4.59 - 4.69%/year.

- Receive interest every 6 months: Interest rate ranges from 4.53 - 4.74%/year.

- Receive interest quarterly: Interest rate ranges from 3.17 - 4.71%/year.

- Receive interest monthly: Interest rate ranges from 1.89 - 4.69%/year.

- Receive interest in advance: Interest rate ranges from 1.88 - 4.58%/year.

To quickly calculate bank interest, you can apply the interest calculation formula:

Interest = Deposit x interest rate/12 months x actual number of months of deposit

Specifically, in the case of an individual customer depositing 100 million VND at SCB Bank for a 12-month term with an interest rate of 4.80%, receiving interest at the end of the term. The interest received is as follows: 100 million VND x 4.80%/12 x 12 months = 4.8 million VND.
