The Department of Education and Training has just sent a notice to schools at all levels stating: Storm No. 11 (Matmo) has weakened into a low pressure area, but the circulation after the storm continues to cause moderate to heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain and thunderstorms in Hanoi from the afternoon of October 6 to the afternoon of October 7 (rainfall of 40-70mm, some places over 100mm). During the storm, there may be tornadoes, lightning, strong gusts of wind, causing localized flooding, fallen trees, traffic jams and unsafe travel.

To ensure absolute safety for students, teachers and school facilities, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training recommends that school principals and heads of units base on actual weather developments in the area, conditions of facilities and traffic safety to proactively decide on the form of direct and online teaching or adjust the appropriate timetable; ensuring absolute safety for students and staff, teachers and employees.

Hanoi requires schools to continue strictly implementing the previously directed contents such as: closely monitoring weather developments; reviewing and clearing drainage systems, schoolyards, cafeterias, and boarding areas; arranging staff to be on duty, updating and promptly reporting on rain and flooding situations that affect teaching and learning activities.

It is known that this afternoon, some kindergartens in the city continued to consult parents about whether to register their children to go to school tomorrow if it rains.

Today, all levels of schools from kindergarten, primary, secondary and high school are closed and switch to online learning to cope with storm No. 11 as directed by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.
However, today the weather is not as heavy as forecast.

Lam Dong currently has 134 secondary and high schools that teach two sessions per day.

Lam Dong lacks more than 5,400 teachers, what will it be like to teach 2 sessions/day?
