Hanoi: Quickly control the fire on Giai Phong Street

At about 2:45 p.m. on July 22, a fire broke out on the attic of a 5-story building at 569 Giai Phong Street (Tuong Mai Ward, Hanoi).

At that time, the attic of house number 569 Giai Phong street suddenly caught fire, black smoke billowed dozens of meters high, followed by strong winds, covering Giai Phong street, making it difficult for vehicles to travel in the area. People who discovered it shouted for help to escape and at the same time informed the fire department.

Upon receiving the news, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center dispatched the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team No. 12 with many vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate in fire fighting.

Here, the authorities quickly guided people to escape and deployed fire extinguishers to prevent the fire from spreading.

The area where the fire broke out was large and easily accessible by ladder trucks, so the firefighting operation was effective. In a short time, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished.

Traffic police and Tuong Mai ward police coordinated to prohibit vehicles from entering the area where the fire occurred to assist with fire fighting.

By 3pm, the fire was extinguished, with no casualties. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
