The 2025 Asian Rowing Championships took place from October 16 to 19 in Hai Phong City, bringing together 668 athletes and coaches from 18 countries and territories. Athletes competed in 20 events for men and women with single, double, four and eight-person boats.

The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Rowing Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Hai Phong City, under the authorization of the Asian Rowing Federation and the permission of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Hai Phong City.
At the tournament, the Vietnamese Rowing team won a total of 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals. Of which, Ha Tinh athletes contributed 3 gold medals and 1 bronze medal.

Specifically, athlete Du Thi Bong (born 2001, from Cam Trung commune, Cam Xuyen district) won 3 gold medals in the following events: women's single oar double sculls in the light category, women's single oar quad sculls in the heavy category, and women's eight sculls.
Athlete Nguyen Van Hieu (born 2001, from Thach Lac commune, Thach Ha district) won a bronze medal in the men's heavyweight double rowing sculls.

Both athletes are trained at the Ha Tinh Sports Training and Competition Center and are currently members of the national Rowing team. The athletes are actively training, aiming for the 33rd SEA Games.

The achievements of Ha Tinh athletes at the continental arena not only affirm the development of the high-performance sports movement in the province, but also motivate the Vietnamese Rowing team to aim for bigger goals in the coming time.
