Two heritages in Hue are included in the list of national intangible cultural heritages.

On December 11, Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang - Chief of Office of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province said that Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung has just signed a decision to include the traditional craft of making Van Cu vermicelli (Huong Toan commune, Huong Tra town, Thua Thien - Hue province) in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.

In parallel with the above decision, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism also signed a decision to include the traditional festival of Hue Nam Palace (Huong Tho Commune, Hue City, Thua Thien - Hue Province) in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung requested the Chairmen of People's Committees at all levels where heritages are included in the list of national intangible cultural heritages, within their scope and authority, to carry out state management in accordance with the provisions of law on cultural heritage.

The Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, heads of agencies, units and individuals related to the heritage included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage are responsible for implementing the decision of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Not long ago, 23/23 countries participating in the 10th General Conference of the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Memory of the World held in Mongolia also voted to include the reliefs on the Hue Nine Tripod Cauldrons in the Memory of the World List.

It is known that the Nine Dynastic Urns in Hue Royal Palace were ordered to be cast by King Minh Mang in 1835 and completed in 1837, placed in front of the yard of The To Temple, with the purpose of representing the longevity of the dynasty, the wealth and territorial integrity of Vietnam.

According to researchers, the 162 carvings with various themes on the Nine Tripod Cauldrons contain many hidden values. This puts the Nine Tripod Cauldrons beyond the national level.

This is a unique and rare source of information that is of interest to domestic and foreign researchers because it has valuable content on history, culture - education, geography, feng shui, medicine, and calligraphy. Especially, it highlights the status of women under the feudal regime, of which the image of Vinh Te canal on Cao Dinh is a clear proof.

The reliefs on the Nine Tripod Cauldrons preserve values ​​about the cultural and social relations and contacts between Vietnam and countries in the East Asia region.
