Hai Phong: Speeding up the implementation of projects in the area North of Cam River

Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Anh Quan chaired the inspection and listened to reports on the implementation of construction investment projects in the area North of Cam River, Thuy Nguyen district.

According to the assessment report, the two key projects of the City Political - Administrative Center and the City Conference - Performance Center in the North Song Cam Urban Area, are being closely monitored by the City's Urban Development Project Management Board and civil construction investment and contractors, striving to complete the projects on schedule as committed to the city.

Up to now, the City Political - Administrative Center project has completed reinforced concrete for building blocks; built walls for low-rise blocks, basements, and high-rise buildings, with progress reaching 90-95% for the Festival area; is implementing construction of stairs; water supply and drainage systems and structural installation; and traffic systems.

For the City Convention and Performance Center Construction Investment Project, the contractor has completed the construction of basement floor reinforcement on the 1st and 2nd floors; completed the reinforced concrete work on the 3rd floor, the grandstand area, and the 1,500-seat auditorium; and is currently constructing the 3rd floor. Traffic roads and outdoor infrastructure have been 100% completed.

Regarding the Project of Investment in Construction of the Square in front of the Political - Administrative Center in the New Urban Area North of Cam River - Phase I and construction of a 55m road under the Project of Investment in Construction of the City Political - Administrative Center. The Project Management Board has requested contractors to concentrate equipment, human resources and construction materials to ensure completion this April according to the direction of the City People's Committee.

Through field inspection, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan acknowledged that contractors are focusing on constructing projects, closely following the progress committed to the city. However, time is running out, while the workload is still very large.

Therefore, the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Le Anh Quan, requested the Project Management Board and the contractor, the 319 Corporation of the Ministry of National Defense, to make more efforts to speed up the project's progress, and to complete it before April 25 to hand over to the stage design contractor. To serve the Opening Program of the Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Festival 2024.

In addition, speed up the construction of the Political - Administrative Center and the Conference - Performance Center projects to ensure safety and aesthetics, with the entire main site completed before April 25, paying special attention to landscape, traffic safety and environmental sanitation.

Thereby, the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned relevant departments and branches to coordinate with the Project Management Board to complete the plan to arrange and set up working rooms of departments, branches, agencies, along with a number of other tasks.
