Hai Phong activates measures to respond to storm No. 12

The City Civil Defense Command has just sent a document to agencies, units, and coastal localities of Hai Phong to proactively respond to the tropical depression that has strengthened into storm No. 12.

The City Civil Defense Command requests the Civil Defense Commands of communes, wards, special zones, sectors, agencies and units to closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and weather developments; notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans, ensuring safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle bad situations that may occur.

Ready forces and means to deploy rescue work when there is a situation.

Hai Phong Newspaper, Radio and Television, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hai Phong Coastal Information Station and mass media agencies, radio and broadcasting systems at the grassroots level should increase information to local authorities, owners of vehicles operating at sea and people to proactively prevent and respond.

Organize the on-duty team seriously, promptly inform and report arising issues to the Department of Water Resources Management and Natural Disaster Prevention (Standing Department on Natural Disaster Prevention of the City Civil Defense Command) for synthesis and reporting.
