(Dan Tri) - The two cars were cornering at high speed and it seemed the drivers did not understand each other and drove into the opposite lane, causing the two cars to almost collide head-on.

The incident took place on November 8 on National Highway 8A, through Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province.

Accordingly, when approaching the curve, the car with the dash cam drove into the opposite lane and maintained a fairly high speed. Meanwhile, the pickup truck in the opposite lane also drove in a similar manner.

When seeing the white pickup truck, the driver of the car with the dash cam moved to the correct lane, while the other driver seemed to misjudge and also swerved to avoid the car in the same direction, leading to the situation of rushing straight towards the car with the dash cam.

"In this situation, even the white car, a "hard driver", was startled. Because while turning the corner, suddenly the camera car appeared in front of him, he only had 1-2 seconds to react, so it's completely understandable that he turned the wheel on reflex like that," commented Anh Quang after watching the video shared on social media.

Nick Duc Quan also had a similar comment: "The white car did encroach on the lane, but only half of it. When we reached the curve, we saw the orange car completely moving into our lane, so we panicked and reflexively swerved to avoid it. The original mistake was the orange car's."

"Both cars were driving in the middle of the road, but they should have followed the rules: overtake on the left, avoid on the right. The white car avoiding on the left is too dangerous," commented user Le Minh.

Meanwhile, Hoang Linh's account said that both cars were turning at too high a speed, so they panicked when they met the oncoming car; if they had been going slower, they wouldn't have had such a "dramatic" reaction.

"I often turn wide open like that to have a better view, but I don't move completely to the opposite lane like that. Also, when I see a car coming from the opposite direction, I immediately move back to my lane. In this case, the camera driver was driving quite dangerously," said Danh Ngoc.

"The camera car drove as if it wanted to pull over or turn left but forgot to signal, so the other car thought it was doing so and avoided it, not that they were intentionally encroaching on the lane. Seeing that their car turned the wheel, it proved that they were actively avoiding the camera car. If both had actively slowed down when cornering, this situation would not have been dangerous," commented Minh Anh.
