Two sleeper buses collided on the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong highway

On the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong Expressway, passing through An Thanh Commune, Tay Ninh Province, a traffic collision occurred between two sleeper buses, causing panic among more than 30 passengers.

The incident occurred at around 12:30. At that time, two passenger vans, one 41-seat and one 34-seat, were traveling in the same direction, from Ho Chi Minh City to the Western provinces. When they reached the section passing through An Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province, the two vehicles suddenly collided.

At the time of the collision, there were more than 30 passengers on both vehicles. The strong impact caused panic among many people. Fortunately, the accident did not cause any human casualties.

A representative of Road Management Area IV – the unit managing the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong Expressway – said the collision did not cause serious property damage. However, due to the impact of the accident scene, traffic through the area was slightly congested.

Immediately after the incident, Highway Management Team No. 1 coordinated with Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 (Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security ) to quickly arrive at the scene to handle the scene, regulate traffic and ensure order and safety.

The accident affected other vehicles moving through the road.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by the authorities./.
