South Korea leads in number of visitors to Vietnam during Tet

The number of Korean tourists to Vietnam is the highest during Lunar New Year, followed by China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.

The results are based on bookings made on Agoda, a Singapore-based digital travel platform, between January 1 and 15 with check-in dates from February 9 and stays of at least two nights.

In addition to the number of visitors, Agoda also released the top 5 destinations for travelers looking for a destination for the Lunar New Year holiday in Asia - Pacific . In addition to Vietnam, which was chosen for its beautiful landscape, diverse culture, and famous cuisine, the remaining 4 destinations include Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

The 5 cities in Vietnam most popular with international visitors during Tet include Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hanoi and Phu Quoc.

Vietnamese tourists are also getting ready to enjoy the upcoming Tet holiday. This year, Da Lat has proven its attractiveness by becoming the top domestic destination, followed by Nha Trang, Da Nang, Phan Thiet and Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding foreign tourism, this year's data shows that Bangkok leads the list of destinations chosen by Vietnamese tourists during Tet, followed by Singapore, Seoul (South Korea), Bali (Indonesia), and Tokyo (Japan).
