The happiness of union members in the "Union Shelter" house

According to the program report, the family of union member Nguyen Thi Ngoc is in very difficult circumstances. Both her husband and wife are workers, with a total income of just over 10 million VND/month. This income is often not enough to cover the living expenses of the couple and their two school-age children.

Before receiving financial support to build the “Union Shelter”, Ms. Ngoc’s family lived in a small, dilapidated house with peeling, moldy walls and leaky ceilings, often flooded when it rained. Their daily life was difficult and inconvenient. Faced with that reality, her family always wished to have a new, spacious, and solid house so that the family could live in peace, however, economic conditions did not allow it.

Understanding the situation and wishes of union members, the Union of Xuan Mai Urban Environment Company Ltd. proposed the superior Union to support funding for union member Nguyen Thi Ngoc's family to build a "Union Shelter". Accordingly, the Hanoi City Labor Federation decided to support 40 million VND to build a "Union Shelter" for union member Nguyen Thi Ngoc.

With the money from the Hanoi City Labor Federation, along with the help of family, relatives and the company, plus some savings, in March 2025, Ms. Ngoc's family started to build a "Union Shelter" in a small hamlet in Chuong My ward, Hanoi. After nearly 3 months of construction, the project was completed and put into use, the construction process was absolutely safe, ensuring quality.

Directly handing over the City Labor Federation's support fund of 40 million VND and a gift to the family of union member Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Vice President of Hanoi Labor Federation Nguyen Huy Khanh congratulated her family on having a spacious and solid house to stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind; at the same time, highly appreciated the efforts of union member Nguyen Thi Ngoc.

Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Confederation Nguyen Huy Khanh said that the "Union Shelter" support program has been implemented by the Hanoi City Labor Confederation for many years and has created a widespread influence, receiving active response and support from union members and workers in the capital.

Every year, the City Labor Federation supports 30-35 “Union Shelters” for union members with difficult housing circumstances, of which the support level for repairing “Union Shelters” is 30 million VND, the support level for building new “Union Shelters” is 40 million VND. Thereby, it has contributed to realizing the dream of settling down for many union members.

On this occasion, Vice President of Hanoi City Labor Federation Nguyen Huy Khanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the Union of Xuan Mai Urban Environment Company Limited for its attention and care for union members and workers through practical activities. From there, spreading the image of the Union organization and humanistic values in life.

The leaders of the City Labor Federation hope that the Xuan Mai Urban Environment Company Limited Labor Union will continue to create jobs and income for workers, continue to promote and diversify activities to care for union members and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances. From there, it will help union members and workers feel secure in their work and production, trust and be attached to the Union organization.

Moved by the attention and support from the Trade Union as well as the Company's Board of Directors and Trade Union, union member Nguyen Thi Ngoc expressed her sincere thanks and said that the attention and support from the Trade Union was the motivation for her family to decide to build their own house to live and work in peace.
