Russian air defense system intercepts Ukrainian missile right in the sky

SF reported that after consecutive missile and drone attacks on Ukraine's industrial and military facilities in the first days of the year, Russia has reduced the frequency of attacks in recent days.

Currently, Russian precision strikes are targeting the eastern and southern regions, where many of the Ukrainian army's weapons depots are located.

On January 14, Russian airstrikes were reported in the Krivyi Rih, Kharkiv, Kherson and Sumy regions.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army has also launched attacks on the Russian rear. On the evening of January 15, Russian air defense forces intercepted three Tochka-U tactical missiles in the Kursk region.

Ukrainian forces have also repeatedly shelled border settlements and attacked the city of Donetsk.

On the front lines, Russian forces are attacking in several areas. In recent days, Russian forces have regained control of some positions north of the village of Krinky. The Russian attacks have reduced the small Ukrainian stronghold on the east bank of the Dnieper River. This has complicated the movement of Ukrainian troops and weapons due to Russian firepower and the freezing winter.

Despite the fact that the plan to launch a counteroffensive in the Kherson region of Kiev failed, the commanders of the Ukrainian forces continued to send more and more troops across the river.

Russian forces are regaining control of positions they lost during the Ukrainian counter-offensive. In recent days, the Russian military has regained control of several square kilometers around Rabotino.

On the outskirts of Donetsk, Russian troops are advancing on Georgievka after taking control of Mariinka. Meanwhile, they continue to attack Ukrainian forces in Avdeevka, tightening the city in a pincer attack.

On January 16, TASS reported that the Western Combat Group (Russia) destroyed the Ukrainian drone command center in the Kupyansk area.

The Western Battle Group's Msta-S self-propelled guns destroyed a Ukrainian drone command center near the Petropavlovka settlement in the Kupyansk region, spokesman for the Western Battle Group Sergey Zybinskiy said.

Sergey Zybinskiy also added that artillery units of the Western Battle Group destroyed three mortar batteries of Ukrainian forces near Stepovaya Novosyolovka and Novovodyanovo.
