Principal in Ho Chi Minh City took nearly 500 students to see the movie "Red Rain"

(Dan Tri) - Many principals and schools in Ho Chi Minh City organized for students to watch the movie "Red Rain" - the fastest movie in Vietnam's history to reach the 500 billion VND mark for those aged 13+.

At Van Dong Secondary School, Xom Chieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Le Thi Thuy, the school's principal, bought tickets for nearly 500 8th and 9th grade students and many teachers at the school to see the movie "Red Rain" which is causing a fever in cinemas.

Before that, Ms. Le Thi Thuy and many teachers in the school went to see the movie "Red Rain" and found it to be a good and meaningful movie about history.

With the hope that students would have more channels to understand more about the culture, history of the country as well as the meaning of life in her time, Ms. Thuy decided to buy movie tickets for her students.

This is a T13 movie (for 13 years old and up) so the target audience for the movie is 8th and 9th graders.

Ten Lo Man High School, Ho Chi Minh City organized for more than 200 students to watch the movie Red Rain according to their registration wishes.

Mr. Nguyen Hung Khuong, Principal of the school, said that this is a meaningful traditional educational activity, contributing to fostering patriotism, national pride and a sense of responsibility of today's young generation towards the country.

Through the film, the school hopes that students will have a deeper understanding of the responsibility of youth for the future of the country. At the same time, through this, students will appreciate more the value of peace and independence as well as contribute to nurturing patriotism, national pride and ideals in each student.

According to Box Office Vietnam, on the evening of September 5, the movie “Red Rain” reached the revenue milestone of 500 billion VND after 15 days of release. With this achievement, Red Rain became the fastest work to reach 500 billion VND in the history of Vietnamese cinema, breaking Mai’s previous record.

In 2024, Tran Thanh's film took more than 20 days to reach the revenue milestone of 500 billion VND.

“Red Rain” produced by People's Army Cinema is a film about revolutionary war based on the script of writer Chu Lai, with the participation of actors: People's Artist Tran Luc, Meritorious Artist Trong Hai, Do Nhat Hoang, Ha Anh, Steven Nguyen, Phuong Nam, Hoang Long, Lam Thanh Nha, Nguyen Hung, Hua Vi Van...

The film is inspired and fictionalized from the 81 days and nights of heroic and resilient fighting by the people, officers and soldiers to protect Quang Tri Citadel in 1972.
